What to Expect

Your Initial Consultation (60-90 minutes)

Here is where you tell me your story. I’ll ask detailed questions and leave ample space for you to tell me your authentic experience. I’ll review your medical history, labs, and current food and lifestyle habits, but recommendations will come during the follow-up sessions.

Follow-Up Sessions (45-60 minutes)

We’ll discuss your custom plan and implement strategies to help you reduce your symptoms, feel good about your nutrition choices, and confident about your ability to manage your own health. We’ll create a plan together as I guide you through each step, making alterations as needed as we go.

It considers each person’s unique genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that contribute to their overall health. Instead of the conventional disease-centered model, functional medicine nutrition takes a personalized approach to restore balance.

    My job is to work as a detective, guide, and listener to help restore balance through diet and lifestyle interventions.

  • A CNS (Certified Nutrition Specialist®) credential is the most advanced certification for personalized nutrition practitioners. Certified Nutrition Specialists practice science-based personalized nutrition therapy to guide people to health.

     A CNS must:

    • Have an advanced degree (graduate or doctorate) in nutrition

    • Complete 1,000 hours of clinical experience with a board approved supervisor(s)

    • Pass a rigorous national board exam administered by the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists

    • Complete 75+ hours of continuing education every 5 years

  • Visits are conducted through a secure, HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.

  • I am happy to cancel or reschedule your appointment at no charge with 48 business hours notice. If you provide less than 48 hours notice, your card will be charged a $100 late change fee. If you are 15 minutes late (or more) to your appointment without notice, this will be considered a no-show and your card will be charged the full visit fee.
